In the thrilling Twitch Rivals Zero Build Showdown II, Team Zemie defeated Team Tfue.

Fortnite‘s scorching hot Zero Build mode returned to Twitch Rivals for another round, this time with a prize pool of $100,000 USD. Twitch returned to action after the success of the first Zero Build competition. Team Tfue, comprised of Team Liquid’s Scoped and classic duo teammates Turner “Tfue” Tenney and Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore, took first place last time out by a large margin.

Despite losing to Cloakzy, Scoped and Battle Royale veteran DougIsRaw looked to win their second consecutive Zero Build event. Throughout the six matches, the trio would have faced several other icons. Tfue’s back-to-back attempt was thwarted by players like SypherPK, NickEh30, Replays, and other Zero Build fans.

Tfue remained in contention until the very end, when Team Zemie did just enough to secure the victory.

Two teams emerge from the field of 33 to take a commanding lead heading into game six. The task ahead of Team Zemie, which included content creators Zemie and Prospering as well as professional Fortnite player Edgey, was daunting. In every Zero Build tournament so far, Tfue has looked incredible.

Naturally, these two teams competed for top spot on the leaderboard the entire time. Team Zemi had a quick Victory Royale and 21 total eliminations to start the competition. It was a fantastic performance, and one that we don’t see very often in these tournaments. While every other team had to improve their ground, Zemie, Edgey, and Prospering put themselves in a strong position.

In games two, three, and four, Team Zemie maintained their consistency, scoring 17, 22, and 16 points, respectively. During that time, Team Tfue gained ground, scoring 81 points. Team Zemie was in first place with 104 points after one game, while Tfue and company had 91. In game six, the defending champions needed a strong finish but fell short.

Despite falling earlier than expected, Team Tfue found itself in a difficult in-game situation, with no mobility and opposing teams closing in. Team Zemie deservedly won the Twitch Rivals Zero Build Showdown and split $21K USD. With 91 points, Team Acorn finished third behind Team Tfue.

Tfue and Zero Build are like peanut butter and jelly. The Fortnite legend earned the most eliminations of any competitor for the second consecutive event. Many of the other players are professionals, demonstrating how polished Tfue’s skills have remained over the years. This week, he’ll host his own Twitch Rivals Creator Series event, which he hopes to win.

With 148 points, Team loud leo won the Latin American competition convincingly. In Europe, Team POW3Rtv edged out Team SolaryFortnite by one point.
