The internet is still reeling from YouTuber Darren “IShowSpeed” Watkins’ sexist outburst. Ludwig “Ludwig” Ahgren, another platform star, has now shared his thoughts on the drama.

IShowSpeed, a 19-year-old YouTube content creator, has risen to become one of the most well-known streamers on the Google-owned platform. However, his aggressive outbursts and offensive comments have landed him in a heap of controversy on numerous occasions. His most recent ban was for a sexist rant directed at his VALORANT teammates, which resulted in him being barred from all Riot Games titles.

Despite the fact that many people on social media condemned Speed for his remarks, his fans quickly defended him. Following in the footsteps of a slew of other streamers, Ludwig has shared his thoughts on the event, claiming that Speed is “feeding a toxic fanbase.”

Ludwig uses his second YouTube account, Mogul Mail, to discuss and explore more serious topics, as his main YouTube channel is where he posts the majority of his content. He used this channel, for example, to call out Esports.gg for “stealing his content” and to reveal the details of his various YouTube DMCA-related bans. Ludwig laid out the controversy surrounding IShowSpeed’s ban from all Riot Games in his most recent upload, ‘This is the biggest YouTube live streamer in the world.’

Ludwig explained how Speed became so popular by saying that he understands what the next generation wants, despite the fact that he is only 19 years old. Ludwig also admitted that Speed has a clear formula that usually consists of him saying anything to get a laugh. Speed has also become known for his dramatic and intense reactions, which are frequently in response to racist comments made by trolls in his chat.

Speed was chastised by Ludwig for using extremely racist, homophobic, and sexist language. He claimed, however, that Speed’s fans were equally to blame, claiming that a number of them target the YouTuber with racist language in order to cause him to erupt. As a result, it has created a highly toxic environment.

Despite the fact that IShowSpeed’s comments were widely condemned online, the YouTuber went on to reach the 7 million subscriber mark. According to Ludwig, the backlash actually helped Speed’s popularity, as he gained more fans as a result of the video than he lost. There isn’t any cancellation going on. Although Ludwig acknowledged that Speed’s fans are to blame for his outbursts, he claimed that Speed is ultimately to blame.

Following his suspension, IShowSpeed apologized, claiming that the clip was from months ago and that he was only a teenager at the time. However, his comments sparked more debate among viewers on social media, with some calling for his VALORANT teammates to be banned as well for their racist remarks toward him.

Although YouTube has previously stated that it is looking into the video, it is still unclear whether he will be banned from the platform, as he has been from Twitch.
