Actionjaxon is an entertainment streamer who has been on Twitch since 2013. He started out thanks to TimTheTatMan’s encouragement after he lost his job. Although he originally started out as a Hearthstone streamer, he has since branched out into variety content and is mainly known for his sense of humor and memes. Below, we have provided a list of the specs that feature in actionjaxon’s gaming setup to enhance the quality of his stream.
WHAT MONITOR DOES ACTIONJAXON USE?
Actionjaxon uses an LG 27GL850-B monitor. The LG UltraGear 27GL850-B is a 27″ gaming monitor with an LED Nano IPS display that offers a QHD 2560x1440p resolution at a 1ms response time. It offers refresh rate options of 60Hz, 75Hz, 100 Hz, 120Hz, 144Hz which makes it compatible with many systems, including:
Xbox, PS, PC and Mac devices. Additionally, it offers a contrast ratio of 1000:1, as well as a typical brightness of 350cd/m² and a pixel pitch of 0.2331mm.
Its 3-side Virtually Borderless design is intended to provide greater immersion when multiple 27GL850-Bs are placed side by side. WHAT MOUSE DOES ACTIONJAXON USE?
Actionjaxon uses a Logitech G Pro wireless gaming mouse. Actionjackson’s gaming setup incorporates the Logitech G-pro wireless mouse, which makes sense since it is among the most popular mice used by streamers. In fact, it can also be found in the setups of LVNDMARK, UnknownxArmy and iiTzTimmy, for instance.
It boasts a Hero 25K optical sensor that affords a DPI range of 100 – 25,600 that can be adjusted in increments of 50 through the Logitech G HUB software. Then up to 6 DPI profiles can be stored directly on the mouse itself. The dedicated DPI button allows him to then toggle between them easily. WHAT KEYBOARD DOES ACTIONJAXON USE?
Actionjaxon uses a Logitech G915 TKL keyboard. The Logitech G915 TKL is the mechanical keyboard that is a compact version of the Logitech G915 gaming keyboard. It is available with a choice of either GL Clicky, Linear or Tactile switches, but actionjaxon hasn’t specified which version he uses. The TKL version allows for up to three macro profiles to be programmed as double-functions on the F-keys and can store up to two onboard LIGHTSYNC RGB profiles.
It is constructed from an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy base and the soldered switched are then topped with ABS keycaps. It also features dedicated connectivity controls with which to toggle between the wireless and wired modes, media controls, and an LED indicator for low battery warnings. This activates when it drops to 15%. Its battery life can last up to 40 hours and has a recharge time of up to 2 hours. Its dimensions are 36.8 x 15 x 2.2cm (15.2 x 5.9 x 0.9″) and it is compatible with Windows 7 or later (64-bit) and macOS X 10.11 or later.
WHAT HEADSET DOES ACTIONJAXON USE?
Actionjaxon uses the Astro A40 TR headset. Actionjaxon’s gaming setup features the X-Edition of the A40 TR headset. It was released to commemorate the 10th anniversary edition of the A40 TR headset. This version is wired only, provides stereo sound, and has a red and black aesthetic. It is also compatible with a wider variety of devices than the original A40 TR , as compatible devices now include the Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, Mac and Nintendo Switch. The original version was either compatible with a PS or an Xbox. It has 40mm drivers and provides a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 48Ω.
It is constructed from a durable, flexible casing with metal sliders, has an adjustable padded headband and cloth-covered ear cushions. The earcups are closed-back with an over-ear fit and can rotate 90°. They weigh 369g (13.02oz) and measure 23.8 x 22 x 11.1cm (8 x 7.75 x 3.75″.) As with the previous model, the tags can be swapped out for other purchasable options. Additionally, it also has a 6mm cardioid-patterned microphone that can be detached.
WHAT MICROPHONE DOES ACTIONJAXON USE?
Actionjaxon uses a Shure SM7B microphone. The Shure SM7B is among the most commonly used microphones by streamers. Some other users include Muselk, Diegsaurs and iiTzTimmy, among others. It is a dynamic microphone that has a cardioid polar-pattern that operates at a front-address. The cardiod polar pattern helps to filter out unwanted background noises, while its internal pop-filter prevents vocal plosive sounds from disturbing the audio quality. Furthermore, its external windscreen helps to decrease interference from electrical devices.
There is also presence boost button and high-pass filter switch located on its base to boost mid-range frequencies and to suppress unwanted low frequencies. It provides a frequency response range of 50 – 20,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 150Ω and a sensitivity of -59 dBV/Pa.
It requires 48V+ of phantom power to operate and will therefore require both an audio-interface with phantom power capabilities, as well as an XLR cable, as it does not come with one. It does, however, come with a foam windscreen, switch cover and locking yoke mount.
WHAT WEBCAM DOES ACTIONJAXON USE?
Actionjaxon uses a Sony Alpha a6400 camera. The Sony a6400 is a mirrorless, entry-level digital camera that features a 24.2MP Exmor CMOS, APS-C Type. This sensor offers a resolution of 1920 x 1080 (60p, 30p, 24p) and an ISO range of 100 – 32,000 that is expandable up to 102400 ISO. Additionally, it has integrated 425 phase-detection autofocus points and eye-detection to minimize blurring during video recordings. It is also capable of zooming in a 2x for still shots, and both 1.5x and 2x for movies. Its NP-FW50 battery can last up to 125 minutes with live recordings and can also record while plugged in to an external power source.
It also has a microphone input port, which allows for an external microphone to be used during live recordings. It can then be mounted directly on the camera itself. The 180° tiltable LCD screen touchscreen is useful for content creators who want to vlog IRL while on-the-go. All recordings can be directly transferred to mobile devices with either Bluetooth 4.0 or Wi-Fi for social media sharing. However, this is likely an unnecessary expense if you are just starting out and want to be a regular gaming streamer. If this applies to you, you might want to stick with a basic webcam such as the Logitech C922 used by KingRichard.
WHAT MIXER DOES ACTIONJAXON USE?
Actionjaxon uses a TC Helicon GoXLR mixer. The TC Helicon GoXLR is a solo recording mixer that allows for one microphone and one headphone to be inputted at a time, for either a TS/TRS/TRRS or XLR connector. It is capable of producing +40V phantom power and can also provide up to 70dB of gain.
The left side has four channels, for Mic, Chat, Music, and System. Each of these channels has a dedicated volume slider and mute button. The right half is dedicated into effects and is divided into three parts. The top half provides vocal effects such as pitch echo and gender-bending, while the lower left section controls sample recordings that can be programmed for use during live podcasts. The bottom right corner has a mute and bleep button. It is important to note that it is only compatible with windows devices.
WHAT CHAIR DOES ACTIONJAXON USE?
Actionjaxon uses a Herman Miller Aeron Chair. The Herman Miller Aeron is a high-end office chair that is available in three color options. It is constructed from recycled metals and has an ergonomic design. This includes built-in adjustable PostureFit/Lumbar support that allows for the back to fit the contours of your back, as well as seat height adjustment, some armrest adjustment and 3-posture limiter tilting. It also includes a tension control mechanism that allows you to adjust the amount of pressure that is required to recline the chair.
