The Annihilator Cup returns from April 1 – 29 for the second year, bringing together top streamers from around the world to compete for $350,000 over five weekends in five different games.
The field of creators and esports pros will include new and returning competitors, including Jake’nBake, TimTheTatman, Mizkif, Shroud, CouRage, DoubleLift, and Emiru, winner of the 2021 Annihilator Cup.
The competition will be broadcast live on the official AT&T Twitch channel, with commentary from Goldenboy, GlitterXplosion, RaynDay, and a few special guests, while each competitor will stream their own channel. Several competitors will also be streaming practice sessions for the games they will be playing, if the previous Annihilator Cup is any indication.
AT&T is also changing up its game lineup, replacing three of the five previous titles, in addition to a mix of new and returning content creators. Apex Legends and CS:GO will still be available, but CS:GO will now be the final event on April 29th. As the competition’s fighting game, Street Fighter V replaces Mortal Kombat 11, while Dead by Daylight replaces Among Us and Halo Infinite replaces Halo 3.
Each week, players will be scored based on their team and individual performance, with each game worth the same number of points and contributing to a single overall leaderboard. The $125,000 grand prize will be awarded to the player with the most points at the end of week five.
Viewers will have the opportunity to win prizes such as gaming gear, AT&T products, and a NZXT custom PC throughout the event. On the official Annihilator Cup website, you can learn more about those sweepstakes, the event itself, and keep track of the updated leaderboard.
