While playing Elden Ring and Lost Ark for nine hours, streamer and content creator Asmongold raises nearly $400,000 for Ukraine.

Charity streams are nothing new, but it’s not every day that a streamer raises nearly $400,000. That is exactly what Asmongold, a popular Twitch streamer and content creator, accomplished in his efforts to aid victims of Ukraine’s ongoing conflict.

The massive sum was raised by donations from viewers during Asmongolds’ charity stream on March 25th, 2022 in support of the Cooperative for Assistance and Relief Everywhere, a humanitarian organization. Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the organization known as CARE has been heavily involved in assisting the people of Ukraine.

Asmongold talked to viewers for over nine hours while playing Elden Ring and Lost Ark on Twitch. The streamer was able to raise $391,000 for the CARE charity, far exceeding the goals he had set for the stream. This is the most money Asmongold has ever managed to raise during a charity stream.

At the end of the stream, Asmongold stated that he did not expect them to come close to this amount because they pooled all of the money.

When asked about his weapon level on Lost Ark and how the money could be used. All of the funds raised will be donated to CARE, which will use them to help people in Ukraine who are in need. After that, Asmongold took to Twitter to thank everyone who donated to the good cause and helped those in need.

The charity was supported by more than just Asmongold. With the help of girlfriend Malena and Emiru, Nick “Nympol” Polom raised over $130,000 in his own charity stream on March 16th, 2022, bringing the total raised by the gaming organization OTK to over $500,000.

In the year 2020, Asmongold was one of the founding members of the OTK organization, which stands for One True King. Esfand, Rich Campbell, Tips Out, Tectone, Nympol, Mizkif, and Emiru are just a few of the well-known streamers in the Organization.

The organization has a long history of giving back to the community. The non-profit organization Games for Love has benefited from several One True King charity streams. On November 23, 2020, they held their first charity stream, raising over $250,000 by opening rare Pokemon cards. A second and third charity stream for Games for Love were held, raising a combined total of nearly $1.2 million.
