Hating someone is usually free and only requires mental effort. Hating, however, costs one dedicated xQc chatter $5 for each comment.

On his November 24th live, xQc exposed a toxic hater for their ongoing stream of hostile and derogatory remarks by focusing on one noteworthy aspect: each one was accompanied by a gift. Yes, the chatter paid five dollars to criticize xQc and ensure that he saw it. With 170 donations, this came to $850 in total. The chatter criticized the streamer for having “cookie cutter type aim,” and/or stated that “the sad reality is that 90% of chat has better rizz than xqc,” among other comments, which were reviewed by xQc.

Later in the stream, the chatter was turned on, and the streamer played back some of the remarks, which included further insults about xQc’s height and aim. With over 11 million followers, xQc managed to cut through the noise and persuade the streamer to spend some time reading the comments. This was apparently worth $850 based on the conversation.

XQc went into more detail regarding the dialogue, alleging that this guy had given the streamer over $1,000 in total. It’s odd that money would be spent on demonizing xQc when it could have supported a smaller streamer who has been popular for years and would have had a bigger impact than condemning xQc.

This incident shows how xQc’s chat may spiral out of control. Because of xQc’s stream’s irreverent and meme-heavy tone, some chatters frequently go too far and foster a poisonous environment.
