It was an old nickname that he adapted for his gamertag.
Gaming Origins
BoxyFresh was introduced to video games by his dad, whom he and his younger brother would watch playing Mega Man on his Nintendo Entertainment System. They then started playing it together and moved on to other games as well.
He started playing Sea of Thieves soon after it released because his friends recommended it to him. After high school, he acquired a nursing degree and continues to work in the field today. He has no plans for becoming a fulltime streamer.
Professional Gaming
He first tested the waters with streaming in February 2018, but stopped after a few weeks. He then gave it another shot with Sea of Thieves in early November 2018, soon before the Shrouded Spoils update. He quickly gained popularity, especially when he and Beardageddon started creating content together.
