While BoschMerchant was growing up, he played various sports including, rugby, soccer, football and cricket. His main sports were cricket in the summer and rugby in the winter, though. Although he had a PlayStation growing up, gaming was always a side hobby for him.

Around the time that his daughter was born in 2016, he got Dark Souls III on his Xbox One. Much later, he decided to look up some YouTube guides for it and discovered The_Happy_Hob on Twitch. The_Happy_Hob was a not hit run Dark Souls runner at the time. Prior to that, his attitude had been ‘why watch someone play if you can just play the game yourself?’ However, when he watched The_Happy_Hob, he was impressed with how immersive the experience was, as well as the community aspect of it and his perspective changed. This inspired him to try out streaming himself a few weeks later.

He bought himself and Xbox Kinect webcam and started streaming on Twitch in January 2018. However, he didn’t like the quality at all, and so decided to put it on hold until he had organized himself a better setup. Once he had organized himself a greenscreen, a secondhand PC for streaming, box lights and microphone he made his second attempt on April 2, 2018, and has never looked back since. He then uploaded his first YouTube video on April 16, 2018. The_Happy_Hob was both his first follower and first subscriber to his channel. When he first started out, he reached to ProfessorBroman for advice. He complied, and BoschMerchant has mentioned this as being one of the biggest reasons that he was able to succeed.

He originally started out as a variety stranger and later stumbled across roleplaying and GTA V by accident. He had no idea what GTA V even was when he decided to take the advice of his community to venture on to the NoPixel server to see what it was about in mid-2019 when he had around 2,000 followers. However, he quickly fell in love and has been maining it ever since. He received Twitch partnership on March 26, 2020.

He often streams with big streamers such as Lord_Kebun and other members of the Chang Gang. His language isn’t clean.

According to BoschMerchant’s Twitch overlay, he has around 2,320 subscribers. Therefore, his  starting income should be around $5,800 USD. This amount excludes additional income from tiered subscriptions, tips, Twitch cheer bit contributions, advertisements, and sponsorships.
