Twitch star Shroud used his trademark dry wit to illustrate what Amazon Games must-do if New World is to thrive after gamers encounter problem after problem.
Shroud is one of the few Twitch streamers who continues to play New World on a regular basis. After the initial excitement faded down, a large number of people abandoned ship. It’s not surprising, given that he stated that it’s his favorite game to stream.
Naturally, this means he’s one of the most powerful voices in the industry when it comes to discussing the game and its expanding list of problems. The developer’s attempt to solve an existing gold exploit resulted in the creation of a new one, which has enraged the community. Not due to the exploit itself, but because the list of issues continues to expand.
Shroud appears to be fed up with it as well. He’s promised to keep playing the game, but he also believes there are a few important things the devs need to accomplish to ensure its survival.
He tabbed out of the game to complete the official feedback survey after trying to figure out what in-game activity to undertake next. He responded to inquiries concerning the rate of progression, in-game resources, and other topics.
He whizzed through them all in a flash. However, he was stumped by the final question. “What do you think is the single biggest issue that the New World team needs to address to improve your experience with the game?”
Shroud sighed deeply and sat in silence, ruminating on his thoughts. He then came up with the perfect solution after approximately ten seconds. As he typed it in and completed the survey, he stated aloud, “Everything.”
It was a wonderful moment that had people laughing out loud. There was, however, a tinge of seriousness about it. He’s made lots of other recommendations to Amazon Games in the past. Not only does he believe the game’s flawed endgame content must be fixed, but he also believes it needs a better user interface and other improvements.
Shroud also requests that the devs address various PvP difficulties. Invasions should be capped at level 60, and Wars should occur less frequently, according to him, so that they feel more “grand” rather than “casual,” which he believes is an issue.
The player base in New World is slowly dwindling. Unless the developers address the game’s numerous issues, which include just about everything at this moment, it may not have the bright future that appeared to be a foregone conclusion at launch.
