BTS, the worldwide K-pop phenomenon, was recently discussed by Twitch megastar Felix “xQc” When reacting to Spotify’s Top 500 Most Streamed Songs of All Time for April 2022, the streamer sarcastically called BTS’ Dynamite a masterpiece.

Felix mockingly called BTS’s song a “masterpiece” and a complete work of art while pausing the song.

While Dynamite was playing during this stream, Felix spent several moments quietly contemplating the band BTS. In April, the song was ranked #99 on Spotify’s top 500 songs. The song received 1.30 billion streams, which is a huge number.

Though Billie Eilish appeared next with When the Party’s Over, xQc was not finished talking about Dynamite until the streamer mentioned having a BTS body pillow, which may have sounded sincere.

Following that, the streamer held up two fingers, which could be a “peace” sign, “two,” or a sign that V is his favorite member of BTS. It could have been a joke, given the streamer’s views on K-pop.

Felix has previously posted videos like “Kpop is trash, change my mind,” and has called the genre “trash” on multiple occasions; in this context, it becomes less positive and more sarcastic, indicating that the streamer does not care much for the K-pop group.

Few forces on Earth are more powerful than K-pop stans when it comes to fandoms. There is a genuine, die-hard fan base for groups like BTS, for both good and bad reasons. In light of this, one Redditor thought it was interesting that xQc was willing to take on the Olympic Committee but not K-pop stans, or so it appeared.

With how quickly he started talking about how great BTS was, one person thought he was being held at gunpoint. Others have compared discussing K-pop on social media to being held at gunpoint.

Some chose to discuss the “peace sign,” which is not at all a peace sign. Some users assumed it meant “two,” while others assumed it meant xQc was a V stan. Even though the streamer was sarcastically expressing his feelings about Dynamite, he knew how to make the appropriate hand gesture.

xQc’s attitude toward K-pop appears to have remained unchanged. Despite the fact that BTS has millions of fans around the world, Felix refused to change his mind.
