One of the most popular female streamers on Twitch, Imane Anys aka Pokimane has recently opened up about her biggest issue on playing Valorant ranked and explains why she doesn’t talk too much while playing.

Pokimane is the most followed female streamer on the platform garnering more than 8 million followers on her channel where she plays a variety of games.

One of these titles is Valorant. However, it seems like Pokimane is having some problems and struggles when playing the title. Using her secondary Twitter account, Pokimane opens up about her struggles and why it is hard being a girl in a game that uses voice communication.

She tweeted about how her brother reached Immortal rank in Valorant, and how it inspired her to grind the game to reach that level. However, on Valorant, it requires its players to coordinate with each other using voice comms wherein players who speak to their teammates in solo-queue typically have an easier time playing as a team than those who play muted and use only pings to communicate information.

On her twitter post, Pokimane further talked about the struggles of using voice-comms in-game being a girl as she stated that some people are getting weird about her being a girl so when she’s playing the title, she doesn’t like to talk too much in game. She also mentioned that being a Sova main makes this more of a problem as Sova players need to communicate quite often.

She wrote; “I find my biggest issue is I don’t like to talk too much in game (ppl get weird about me being a girl / being poki), and that doesn’t work with being a sova man and I don’t have a dependable duo to communicate on my behalf.”
