In less than six months, Casimiro was banned from Twitch for the second time. It took place as he was streaming a soccer game between Palmeiras and Athletico-PR, which is against the law in most situations.

But the situation was everything but typical. Hurricane Live was only able to be accessed by Casimiro. Because his stream was the only site where anyone could watch it, the ban was a grave error. As soon as word of his punishment spread, irate supporters took to social media to call attention to the error. Less than 25 minutes later, Twitch corrected its error and lifted the ban.

It’s comparable to what occurred when Casimiro was the first person ever to be banned from Twitch for streaming soccer highlights in May. Even though he didn’t have the authority to display them, Twitch overturned the channel ban three hours later after determining that a warning was sufficient punishment for the star.

Since the infamous “TV show meta” swept over the Amazon-owned site in late 2021 and early 2022, Twitch has been harshly prosecuting streamers who broadcast copyrighted content. Pokimane and Disguised Toast were among the broadcasters who were banned for viewing episodes like Avatar: The Last Airbender and Naruto live. However, they don’t always get things right, as demonstrated by Casmiro’s brief second suspension. Thankfully, Twitch promptly resolved the issue in this instance.

Given how many people tuned in to watch the game, the ban’s upholding would have dealt a significant damage to the Brazilian streamer’s momentum after surpassing personal audience milestones earlier in the year. Thankfully, everything turned out well for Casimiro and his supporters in the end.
