Recently, a big Twitch data leak exposed 125 GB of private information to the world and made headlines. Twitch has confirmed that the breach is real and is “working with urgency to understand the extent” of the leak. Twitch’s source code is included in the files, as well as details on an unreleased Steam-like competitor named Vapor, comment history, creator payment history, and more.

The stolen data, which exposed the supposed top-earning streamers and their Twitch payouts, stunned some Twitch viewers. NICKMERCS, a Twitch streamer, is on the list, ranking sixth as one of the best earners between August 2019 and October 2021.

According to Twitch Tracker, the Call of Duty and Apex Legends streamer averages roughly 33,000 concurrent viewers every livestream and has 45,839 active Twitch followers. NICKMERCS is making, at the very least, $114,597 per month from Twitch subscriptions alone, based on his current subscriber count. That doesn’t include Nick’s bits, donations, or Twitch ad money, nor does it include tier two and three subscribers, who pay a higher rate. So, just from Twitch subscribers, Nick earns well over $1.3 million each year.

According to the Twitch leak, NICKMERCS received a total payout of little over $5 million from August 2019 to October 2021. This means he earns at least $2.5 million per year, not mentioning other sources of income like YouTube, FaZe Clan paid sponsorships, and merch sales.

Nick also has paid partnerships with companies like GFuel, CashApp, SeatGeek, and Under Armour, so his annual income is likely substantially more.

In addition, NICKMERCS declared in a quick announcement video yesterday that he will stay with Twitch for live streaming and would not be migrating to YouTube. It’s likely that Twitch paid him a lot of money to keep him exclusive to the platform, bringing the total to $2.5 million.
