Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag disclosed on a recent episode of the “Courage and Nadeshot” show that he had the possibility to sign Felix “xQc” Lengyel to 100 Thieves in 2017.

xQc has become one of the most popular Twitch streamers in recent years. Since September 2019, the streamer has been the second-highest earning on Twitch, according to a recent Twitch leak. Additionally, in September 2021, xQc earned around $750,000 and currently has 9.5 million followers on Twitch, with over 70k subscribers. Back in 2017, Nadeshot admitted that he had no idea who xQc was and that he missed out on the chance to sign the former Overwatch player.

xQc had written Nadeshot a message expressing interest in joining the 100 Thieves content creation group, Nadeshot disclosed. Nadeshot, who formerly worked for OpTic Gaming as a COD gamer, founded 100 Thieves. Back in 2017, the creator said he had no idea who xQc was, explaining; “xQc sent me a message back in 2017 with interest in joining 100 Thieves. I didn’t know anything about xQc. I am not even big-timing you. I didn’t not reply to him on purpose. I was so overwhelmed at the beginning of the company and I had no idea what the f**k I was doing.”

Given that xQc has gained a significant portion of his overall notoriety in the last two years, it’s not surprising that Nadeshot had no idea who he was. Until March 2017, xQc had less than 50k Twitch followers, and he didn’t start streaming on Twitch full-time until October 2019.

After a series of setbacks in his Overwatch eSports career, including many suspensions, xQc made the permanent switch to Twitch streaming. Since then, he has established a solid reputation as one of the most adventurous and amusing internet content creators. While Nadeshot had no idea who xQc was, he may have wished he had responded to the streamer more than once.
