The following Twitch streamer to sign an exclusive deal with YouTube is Ali Kabbani, also known as Myth.
Myth announced his choice to stream only on YouTube Gaming in a YouTube video. It’s true that you may feel as though you have heard this tale before. Lily Ki, also known as LilyPichu, and Sykkuno both left Twitch in recent months, making Myth one of many former Twitch streamers who have left the platform over the past few years.
In the announcement video, Myth said that Tuesday is when YouTube streams are anticipated to start. Myth reflects on his life choices throughout the video, including his choice to become a professional video game player and his decision to give up competitive Fortnite for streaming.
Myth stated that he is switching to YouTube for something more entertainment-focused in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
On his YouTube channel, which he first launched in 2013, he intends to stream and publish created videos. Myth rose to fame in 2017 for playing professionally for TSM while streaming Fortnite on Twitch. Myth left TSM in 2021 but kept up his Twitch streaming, frequently ranking among the most popular streamers there. On YouTube, Myth has more than 4.5 million subscribers.
In an effort to boost profits, Twitch was considering changing the way it paid its top streamers, and The Washington Post reported in 2021 that Twitch might stop offering the sizable contracts it once did.
Myth and other streamers who switched to YouTube made no comments regarding the pay scales of either platform. In contrast, YouTube has continued to be successful in luring famous people away from Twitch, which continues to dominate the market as the best livestreaming service.
