Twitch streamer KiaraaKitty has come under fire for allegedly fabricating a phone theft during a stream before dropping the device and admitting she was lying the entire time.
Outside of the many rules and conditions imposed on broadcasters, there’s no telling what you might see while tuning into a stream on Twitch, which is the home of the craziest and most bizarre video on the internet. Streamers don’t mind and occasionally even seek out insane content for their audience to appreciate since explosive or uncommon content on Twitch can frequently lead to significant viewership and popularity. This may even entail producing content that occasionally stirs up controversy for the sole purpose of garnering influence.
A Twitch streamer has allegedly accidently exposed their own theft and been accused of doing it in order to get a viral clip. Streamer Kiaraakitty had left her phone out while studying in a library. The person who stole the phone, which served as her camera for the broadcast, approached her from behind before rushing away from the crime scene to avoid being seen.
The robber eventually dropped the phone, which caused the camera to point upward and exposed the burglar’s genuine identity. Kiaraakitty had in fact “stolen” her own phone, it turned out. At this point, KiaraKitty’s broadcast abruptly came to an end. Commenters have claimed that she stopped streaming in order to escape criticism from viewers.
When she grins after dropping the phone, Kiaraakitty seemed to have found the entire situation to be very humorous. Reddit users have criticized Kiaraakitty, calling the scenario “embarrassing,” and criticizing how foolish her plan was. Some people have voiced annoyance with the manufactured scams and schemes on Twitch and called for an end to this faked content. Remark from the conversation “Kiaraakitty takes her own phone and closes stream when she drops the phone and it proves she was the thief,” was zi76’s comment from the debate.
Although it is unknown whether Kiaraakitty will be punished for her conduct, it appears that some commenters believe that her embarrassment may not be sufficient.
