Twitch streamer Pokimane has recently started RTS, a new talent management company, and Dr Disrespect was highly impressed with this.
Pokimane announced RTS to the public on October 27th, with the purpose of “fixing the gaming and esports industry.” RTS has already made a name for itself by collaborating with Facebook, Epic Games, and the Fortnite World Cup, and will even be assisting Sony in the management of EVO, the world’s largest fighting game event.
Dr Disrespect, a YouTube streamer, is not only on board with the idea, but believes it has a lot of potential. During a live stream, the two-time president outlined how the business may expand and how he feels the concept is “fantastic.”
He stated; “I saw an announcement that Pokimane is starting an agency for streamers and content creators. I think it’s a fantastic move on her part. It’s something that we’ve internally discussed for a couple of years now.”
While his business partner pushed the concept on him, the streamer claimed that he wasn’t as enthusiastic about it at the time and instead wanted to build a game studio.
He added; “We finally got to that point. It’s not easy. But I think [Pokimane’s company] is a good move. It was just a matter of time before some influencer was going to start that in this space.”
To round off his complimentary words, the Doc stated that he hopes RTS will be “very successful.” Only time will tell if it is, but the fact that she already has huge backing from one of the world’s most famous entertainers, as well as Doc’s endorsement, could be a sign of things to come.
