Vanguard Season 1 of Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific introduces new contracts. Streamers are concerned about the Big Game contract, which, according to Swagg, Santana, and MuTeX, encourages “stream sniping” behavior.
If you’ve ever played Warzone’s Plunder mode, you know how dangerous having the most money on the map can be. People typically flock to steal your goods after you become highlighted (by a fat, red bag of cash) on everyone’s map.
That kind of energy is also making its way into regular Warzone. The developers revealed that a Big Game contract was on the way in the latest Pacific Vanguard Season 1 patch notes. And it’s already causing some consternation among the game’s biggest streamers.
Big Game is similar to a Bounty contract, except it focuses on the player who has the most kills in the game. So, yeah, as soon as a streamer starts racking up the stats, it’ll basically pin a target on their back.
Streamers on Warzone are concerned about Pacific’s Big Game contract.
Santana of FaZe Clan was one of the first streamers to express dissatisfaction with the new contract. And he did it in a colorful way, referring to it as “stream sniping on crack.”
The issue is obvious: if you’re having a high-kill game, as most streamers do, this contract will reveal your location to enemies. Rather than stream snipers having to find your Twitch to figure out where you are, the game will tell them.
The contract perplexed other streamers such as FaZe Swagg and MuTeX. “Wtf is this,” Swagg responded, while MuTeX predicted that it “will either be super fun or absolutely terrible.”
Despite the fact that MuTeX referred to it as the “find the streamer” contract, he appeared to be open to it being enjoyable. This is likely aided by the fact that the contract only works on a player once per match, ensuring that streamers aren’t constantly dogged by a bounty.
On December 8/9, Warzone Pacific Season 1 will be released, and players will be able to get in and try everything out for themselves. On the colorful Caldera map, there should be plenty of new shenanigans to enjoy, ranging from Big Game contracts to shallow water.
