Wraith, according to NRG Twitch streamer and former Apex Legends pro player Aceu, is by far the weakest character on the Apex roster.

Wraith has been a fan favorite character in the community since the debut of Apex Legends in 2019, with several players choosing her as their main character. The Interdimensional Skirmisher still has a 11.4 percent pick rate in Season 10, despite not being the dominant force she was in Seasons 1 and 2. She is now the game’s second most popular Legend, trailing only Octane.

Despite the fact that players are still locking on Wraith and dodging bullets in the void, former pro player Aceu isn’t convinced she’s a realistic meta pick. During the stream, he called her the worst character in Apex and advised that his viewers play a set of other Legends instead.

A viewer asked Aceu whether he preferred Octane or Wraith during his September 27th live broadcast. The streamer then didn’t hesitate to call the Interdimensional Skirmisher the “worst character” in Apex Legends, much to the surprise of many.

Respawn’s heavy nerfs in previous seasons, he claims, have reduced her to a ghost of her former self, making her much poorer than the other meta characters. One of the nerfs aceu is most likely referencing is the delay on her Tactical, which means she can’t enter the void right away. It had a quick effect when it was released, making evading opponents incredibly simple.

Here’s what he said; “Wraith is the worst character in this video game, by far the worst character in this video game… they nerfed her into the ground, they f**king put her up, RKO’d her”.

Instead of Wraith, Aceu recommends Octane because tap strafing is still available in the game, making him a top-tier option. And if running at high speeds isn’t your thing, aceu recommends using Horizon to manipulate gravity and your lifts to gain an advantage over your opponents.

While it’s evident that aceu is exaggerating when he calls Wraith the worst character in the game, it does demonstrate how far she’s fallen in his estimation and the impact the nerfs have had on her kit.
