The human embodiment of Twitch’s “Hot Tub meta,” Amouranth is bringing Twitch’s most popular content creators out of their stream rooms this weekend for an epic in-person event.

Despite the fact that it is nearly a month before summer as a season officially begins, the Streamer Royale is being billed as the “Event of the Summer.” However, with a slew of content creators involved, from xQc and Alinity to PaymoneyWubby and CodeMiko’s Technician, the competition could easily set an unmatchable precedent for the season.

While the Streamer Royale’s specific events and content have yet to be revealed, its official Twitter account announced yesterday evening that it will begin on Saturday, May 28th at 12 p.m. CT.

The Streamer Royale will be streamed live on Amouranth’s Twitch channel, because the event is in person, most content creators may not be able to set up a mobile stream for the event, but don’t be surprised if a few people stream from their phones or mobile streaming setups.

The Streamer Royale appears to be poised to bring fan-generated content to the table, in addition to competition between streamers. The event’s Twitter account announced yesterday that it is looking to fill the show with “fan-created content,” which could include commercials and memes.
