Fans have discovered that YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect makes an unexpected appearance in a Fortnite commercial on Twitch. It comes after several creators risked being banned from Twitch for playing with the Doc, who was famously perma-banned.
The streaming community is still talking about Dr Disrespect’s famous feud with Twitch. Following an unexpected permanent ban from the platform, a tumultuous legal battle ensued, which lasted nearly two years.
Twitch and the Doc reconciled their differences in March 2022. Fans, on the other hand, are left with more questions than answers, as he remains banned from Twitch with no official reason given.
It’s no surprise that fans were taken aback when they saw Dr Disrespect in a Twitch advertisement for Fortnite.
Fans were shocked to see Dr Disrespect pop up an advertisement for ‘Fortnite: Zero Build’ mode on Twitch in a video shared on Twitter.
NICKMERCS, Disguised Toast, and Valkyrae are just a few of the YouTube and Twitch streamers featured in the video. Given his tumultuous relationship with Twitch, viewers were particularly surprised by the Doc’s appearance.
Not only that, but after including the banned streamer in their content, various content creators have faced suspension from the Amazon-owned platform.
Fans found the clip hilarious, given the Doc’s relationship with Twitch. Others, however, were perplexed as to how he would be allowed to appear in the advertisement.
Others, however, pointed out that the situation between Twitch and Dr Disrespect is different from that of other YouTube streamers.
As of this writing, Dr Disrespect has said nothing about the ad. The state of his relationship with Twitch, on the other hand, remains a mystery.
