Following the launch of her skincare line, RFLCT, in October 2021, 100 Thieves content creator and popular streamer Rachell Hofstetter AKA “Valkyrae” faced backlash. Valkyrae’s private discord messages with Ludwig Ahgren were later leaked online on multiple social media platforms, causing a slew of problems for her. Her skincare line launch drew a lot of criticism from all sides, but her leaked conversation with Ludwig revealed what she really thought about the situation.
Valkyrae has finally revealed how her RFLCT skincare brand has been affected by her unfortunate leak. During a conversation with Twitch icon Ludwig, she stated that they pulled out of 400 stores due to the leak, and that this is the reason why, because they were originally going to proceed regardless, which is why everything was removed. Which she considers to be a blessing in disguise.
Valkyrae appears to have managed to dig herself out of this quagmire, and the backlash has finally subsided. Valkyrae’s intentions were undoubtedly good, but she was unfortunately taken for a ride. Furthermore, it is now clear that she was placed in an unfortunate situation. Valkyrae went to great lengths to avoid the contract.
Following the launch, fans began to accuse the YouTube star of selling a phony product. Pseudoscience was heavily used to support the product’s claim of blue light protection. The public outcry that followed tainted Valkyrae’s brand. And it continues to elicit a great deal of rage and disappointment from fans.
The direct messages were leaked in October by Ludwig’s friend Atrioc. The whole situation and the criticism were unfortunate, but it’s great to see Valkyrae has recovered from it.
