Technicals recently released a video about the grooming allegations, it appears that some have changed their minds about Nairoby “Nairo” Quezada‘s innocence.

YouTuber Technicals recently made a video exposing Nairo’s alleged sexual misconduct. Nairo was previously accused of inappropriate behavior with another streamer CaptainZack, who was only 15 years old at the time, in the year 2020. Nairo was 20 years old at the time. Nairo was reportedly banned before from Twitch and competitive Smash events last September 2020 as a result of the sexual abuse allegations. His sponsor had also dropped him.

Following the drama, Nairo came forward to claim his innocence. Nairo revealed in October that Zach had molested him and later used the situation to blackmail him. Nairo had screenshots to back up his story, and others in the Smash community pointed out that CaptainZack was well-known for his deception.

Nairo has had a successful YouTube career since then, and he is now a Smash content creator. Technicals, on the other hand, were not about to let the situation go just yet.

Technicals attempted to prove that his fellow Twitch streamer Nairo wasn’t really as innocent as he claimed in the video, displaying screenshots proving that Nairo flirted with CaptainZack, hung out with the teenager at events, and became jealous if CaptainZack expressed interest in other players.

This included a TwitLonger from Tweek, who described how Nairo and CaptainZack were flirting throughout CEO Dreamland in great detail. Nairo “begged” Tweek not to tell anyone about the hookup with CaptainZack. Tweek explained that knowing what had happened for so long felt like a “burden,” and that he had tried to persuade CaptainZack not to get involved.

Nairo has continued to claim that CaptainZack exploited him while he was sleeping, according to Technicals. Technicals claimed that this was irrelevant because Nairo had another sexual encounter the next day while awake, though Nairo claims that this occurred to avoid being blackmailed.

Also, they said that as an adult he could not have made an infinite number of decisions at that point but he had to let it happen. Technicals sarcastically observed saying, congratulations — Nairo is innocent. If they believe Nairo did nothing wrong between the escalation through flirting, the blackmailed oral sex, the three-year cover-up, and then denying the allegations until it was impossible to do so, then congratulations — Nairo is indeed innocent.

Despite being blackmailed, technicals concluded that Nairo is “not in the clear,” as he could have made a different decision.

VoiD, Alpharad, Hungrybox, ESAM, Marss, WaDi, Dabuz, and MKLeo were among the players who campaigned to have Nairo’s Twitch account unbanned. According to him, he wanted to burn the entire community to the ground and then accused Smash pros of being “scared” of him.

Technicals exclaimed that it is disgusting and he is not going to sit there and watch it happen right in front of his eyes; this goes all the way to the top of the Smash Bros. hierarchy; and asked what makes this any different from a real pedophilia ring?

While the harsh words of Technicals sparked a backlash from the Smash community, with many calling for Nairo to be banned from YouTube and elsewhere, many Smash players have stood by him throughout the controversy.
