Twitch streamer xQc discussed his unhealthy sleeping habits in chat, which made fans worry about his well-being.

One of the most active marathon streamers on Twitch is xQc. The frequently contentious person clocks hundreds of hours each month. It may not come as a surprise that xQc does not necessarily have the best sleeping habits as a result. But, xQc’s most recent streaming binge went above and beyond what viewers probably believed to be the Twitch streamer’s typical habit.

Over 280 hours of streaming from xQc have been recorded during the last 30 days. That equates to about 10 hours each day or 70 hours per week. Of course, other streamers have been live longer. For instance, popular Twitch broadcaster Kai Cenat ran a non-stop marathon over the past 30 days, streaming non-stop for approximately 700 hours. The majority of popular streamers, though, don’t always appear in front of the camera whether they’re providing VODs or other content. In the past, xQc has been more frequently live. In a video that is becoming viral on social media, xQc confesses that he hasn’t gotten much sleep lately. He claims he only recently realized he had only slept for a total of seven hours over the previous four days.

“I think I found the actual limit of what I can go,” saying that at that point he reached a state of pure exhaustion and couldn’t continue. He wasn’t saying it to be alarmist, however. It was just normal behavior to xQc. “It was a good experiment,” is how he characterized it.

The majority of the posts on xQc’s Twitch chat were worried expressions or morbid jokes, even though the chat moves too quickly for any actual conversation. The repeated use of the phrases “Last Day” or “Last Stream” followed xQc’s statement that he had had enough of not getting enough sleep. Several chat entries urged xQc to get some sleep, alter his sleeping pattern, and lower the importance of streaming in order to enhance his health. The negative effects of prolonged sleep deprivation on the body became a hot topic on social media. Sleep deprivation is frequently linked to both mental and early-onset chronic health issues. Due to xQc’s attitude of “devil may care,” many of his Twitch followers made fun of this; yet, it is a legitimate issue as xQc continues to stream year after year.

It should be noted that xQc has not in any way implied that he intends to alter his sleep routine or slow down streaming. He was doing nothing more than interestingly sharing a personal fact with his Twitch chat audience. Though he probably won’t endure four days without much sleep again very soon, xQc’s insomnia and consequent Twitch marathons are likely to persist.
