A few days back, reports surfaced online suggesting that Twitch star Ninja‘s viewership numbers have been dropping drastically since he stopped streaming Fortnite regularly.

During a recent live broadcast, Twitch streamer Felix Lengyel aka xQc shared his opinion on the matter. During his recent live broadcast, twitch streamer xQc read the title of the report and cemented his stance on the matter by asking a rhetorical question stating; “Who cares though?” He obviously took Ninja’s side as he stated that he understands that streamers can’t always make content just to pander to their viewers and sometimes, they have to stream the kind of content they want to stream.

xQc didn’t seem impressed by the quality of the report as he goes on to mock how part of the article is articulated. xQc seems to believe that numbers and viewership, these things, are not important. He stated; “It’s not about the people who are number 1, getting all the trends and following all the trends. Nobody cares about this.”

xQc revealed that streamers shouldn’t be rigid. Streamers should feel free to explore their options and should never hesitate to add more titles to their arsenal. This not only helps in the production of more content but also keeps things exciting. Suggesting that Ninja has quit Fortnite is a bit of a stretch. Ninja has spent a lot of time playing Epic Games’ BR and that’s been the driving reason behind the streamer’s success. However, as xQc stated, it’s important for streamers to keep their options open to avoid mental and physical burnout.

Many of xQc’s viewers were on his side and agreed that content creators do deserve to spend their time doing something they enjoy, even if it means sometimes losing some viewers.
