Twitch star Michael ‘Shroud‘ Grzesiek revealed why he no longer enjoys playing with Valorant pros, noting that it “irritates him” because he knows he “isn’t as good” as them.

Shroud was formerly one of the top CS:GO players in the world. He didn’t win a big championship. But fans adored him because he was regarded as one of the most naturally gifted gamers in the competitive arena.

But a lot has changed since then. Shroud’s abilities are still ridiculous. Instead of spending hours upon hours studying one game, he has established himself as one of the most popular variety streamers on the internet. That didn’t stop him from attempting a professional career as Valorant. He put together a squad and participated in the VCT Qualifiers. Unfortunately, they did not get as far as he and his fans had hoped.

It hasn’t stopped him from participating in the game. He still enjoys it as much as he did before. But he did say that he no longer enjoys playing with professionals, and he explained why to fans: he believes he has lost his competitive edge.

Here’s what he said; “It makes me so mad when I play with professional players because in my head I’m like, man, I’m as good as them. It makes me so mad because I know I want to be as good but I also know I never will be unless you play the game that much on a professional team. It’s such a f**king aggravating thing. You just can’t do it unless you play in that environment.”

In comparison to the average gamer, Shroud is still extraordinarily good. As much as he hates to admit it, he believes he’s lost his edge when compared to pros who put in countless hours to keep their talents sharp.
