During the recent Raven Software ban, a Call of Duty Warzone hacker slipped through, but Twitch followed up with its own swift ban.
Call of Duty: Warzone devs Activision and Raven Software have been seemingly working hard at banning hackers and cheaters. There are now more than 50,000 that have been banned recently but one player under a Twitch name of ‘chrissoaresgtr’ managed to escape warzone ban wave but after a Reddit push online and many protests to hold him accountable, the streaming platform Twitch itself banned his channel.
‘chrissaresgtr’ was using a soft aimbot or silent aim that is known to allow players to kill enemies without actually aiming them and without the unnatural snap that is associated with aimbot. This is a new cheat and part of the evolving hacks in Warzone that many warned about. Also, there’s another new and dangerous hack called ‘God Mode Hack’ where a player seems to easily slip through the cracks or use new tricks.
These kinds of hacks and cheats are the main reason why users and players have been clamoring for a true and working anti-cheat for Warzone.
In the clip of ‘chrissaresgtr’ that quickly circulated online, he was seen pretending to aim properly and to be in target but it is known that his accuracy does not matter because even if his enemies are safe behind covers, the bullet will still hit them. Cheats like these are obviously the reason why many players are angry and it also ruins the integrity of the game.
The warzone streamer and cheater is reported to be banned from the streaming platform Twitch and Call of Duty: Warzone altogether.
Since the launch of Call of Duty: Warzone, both Activision and Raven Software have been taking action against cheaters. They also added a reporting tool so that it can closely monitor suspicious activity but the approach and effort is that the devs are not sufficient and many felt that they are not working their best to counter cheaters and hackers. Fans, users, and players have been crying out for a true and working anti-cheat program knowing that each day, different hacks and cheats continue to enter the battlefield.
Many hope that these problems will finally come to an end so that each and everyone can now enjoy the best experience playing the game.
