Two well-known Twitch streamers recently switched from slot machines to sports betting, with one winning big on English soccer and the other losing big on the NHL.

Trainwreck took a risky step on Thursday by betting on English Premier League teams fighting for survival. As Trainwreck revealed on Twitter, his parlay paid off handsomely, netting him nearly $2.7 million.

Trainwreck, whose real name is Tyler Niknam, wagered nearly $80,000 on Everton to beat Crystal Palace (+1.87), Chelsea to draw with Leicester City (+5.20), and Aston Villa to draw with Burnley (+3.55), for a total of +34.52 odds.

Trainwreck’s fellow Twitcher Xposed had a completely different experience. If the Toronto Maple Leafs (+1.80) beat the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 7 of the NHL Eastern Conference quarterfinal series on Sunday, the Canadian gambler could win $1.4 million.

Unfortunately for Xposed, the Lightning had other ideas, defeating the Maple Leafs 2-1 and leaving Twitcher Cody Burnett with a $779,897 loss.

Trainwreck’s English Premier League parlay was not for the faint of heart, especially considering Everton’s incredible comeback against Crystal Palace.

Everton was down and out at 0-2 in the 54th minute of regulation time. Everton fans, on the other hand, sensed blood and began urging on their players after an Everton defender scored. The Toffees would score two more goals to secure their EPL status for the following season, as well as Trainwreck’s multimillion-dollar payday.

Trainwreck’s legend is cemented by the betting windfall. In March, he etched his name in roulette history by securing $1.65 million on one spin and $2.1 million on the next, making him the game’s all-time leading winner.

With Xposed, the contrast is unrivaled. On Sunday, the Canadian tweeted about his massively losing NHL wager.

Xposed had a public meltdown on Twitch in March after gambling away nearly $850,000 in under 40 minutes. In a clear display of problem gambling, the Canadian threw his chair at his camera.
