Twitch streamer Tyler ‘Trainwreck‘ Niknam recently offered to buy Artesian Builds after the company considers a “employee-led buyout.”
On March 1, 2022, a group of Twitch streamers called out custom PC builder Artesian Builds after CEO Noah Katz allegedly changed the rules of a PC giveaway and “belittled” their stream stats. The action sparked outrage on social media, as well as from well-known streamers like Mizkif and Alinity.
Now, four days later, the company has announced an attempt at a leadership change, which Twitch streamer Trainwreck intends to take advantage of.
Artesian Builds stated in a tweet on the official company Twitter account that the company is considering a “potential employee-led buy-out.”
When Trainwreck saw the post, he decided to throw his hat into the ring, suggesting that instead of allowing an employee-led buy-out, he would buy the company outright. In addition, PowerGPU, a custom PC builder, offered to help him out by taking on any backorders Artesian Builds might have.
What began as a call for a handful of streamers to be fired has now turned into a possible company turnaround. Only time will tell whether the latter is correct.
