It wasn’t long ago that many CS:GO players left the game to dominate in the Valorant universe. One of them is ShahZaM, the in-game leader of Tier 1 North American Team, Sentinels. This highly successful team’s captain recently joined a Counter-Strike match and found it “horrible.”

ShahZaM used to play CS: GO and represented a variety of organizations before getting into the scene of Riot’s new competitive shooter. He streams regularly on Twitch and recently made a comment about the current state of Counter-Strike and recently streamed CS: GO, and as soon as he entered the lobby, he noticed the game was performing poorly on stream. The game was lagging, and the stream was not smooth, according to his viewers.

When he realized what had happened, he set the frame rate limit to 500, and the stream became much smoother from there, his initial experience, however, prompted him to make a comment about the current state of Counter-Strike, which is not what it used to be. He is a regular Valorant Twitch streamer, but his most recent experience with CS: GO did not go well.

It wasn’t long ago that Valve released an update for CS: GO that made it impossible for players to use third-party software while competing in ranked matches. Even Open Broadcasting Software, or OBS, was classified as third-party software, causing numerous issues for CS: GO streamers.

Despite the fact that a simple Launch Options command on Steam was able to resolve the issue, a warning about the possibility of encountering cheaters appeared. Professional players were largely unaffected because they spent the majority of their time on Faceit.

However, content creators who did not play competitively or just for fun faced difficulties. After recently attempting to enter a competitive CS: GO match, ShahZaM ran into the same issue. When it comes to the world of Valorant, ShahZaM needs no introduction. The star of Tier 1 North American Team “Sentinels” won the first VCT Masters in 2021 and is now aiming for another international victory at the World Championship.

Counter-Strike has had its ups and downs in the past. There is no doubt about the game’s quality, but all good things must come to an end at some point.

Valorant is new and exciting, and it has yet to reach new heights. The Sentinels of ShahZam are a formidable force to be reckoned with, and they will put on a show at the upcoming VCT Masters.
