Twitch streamer and OTK member Matthew Rinaudo aka Mizkif has come to defend the Minecraft star Thomas Simons aka Tommyinnit after he was being cancelled by the community over a joke about lesbians.
Tommyinnit is an English YouTuber and Twitch streamer who produces Minecraft-related videos and livestreams. Over the past months, his popularity has continued to rise as recently, he has reached a huge milestone on YouTube, getting 10 million subscribers and solidifying his place as one of the world’s most popular content creators.
However, it seems like he keeps finding himself roped into endless battles with Minecraft stans. Tommyinnit has been criticized many times on different occasions including when he poke fun at Jschlatt’s past controversies and when he asked KSI for a shoutout in response to a tribute tweet he posted about a deceased rapper.
Now, tommyinnit has come under fire again after he made some jokes about lesbians. It started when Tommyinnit responded to a fan who called him an honorary lesbian. So Tommyinnit replied stating that he doesn’t know if he is a lesbian or if he would qualify as a lesbian but he says that he hopes that he does.
His comments were labeled by some as “lesbiphobic” and they said that it is damaging to the LGBTQIA+ community in which twitch streamer Mizkif disagrees. During Mizkif’s recent live broadcast, he watched the clip where Tommyinnit made the jokes.
After watching, Mizkif stated; “Is that it? Are you actually serious? This is just so pathetic. How is he getting canceled for this?” Mizkif further says that it seems like streamers like Tommy cant have fun and enjoy themselves without having the possibility of getting canceled every time they talk. Then he added; “What is he supposed to do? What can he do? He can’t do anything! The reality is, these kids… they love doing this kind of sh*t.”
