After it was revealed that the Amazon-owned streaming platform has a strict zero-tolerance policy when it comes to making one joke in particular, a popular Twitch streamer has issued a warning to viewers.

When it comes to banning its streamers, Twitch has a shaky track record, with many of the platform’s biggest stars frequently criticizing the platform for its lack of consistency. When it comes to banning viewers, however, it’s a different story. Twitch isn’t one to mess around.

As you may be aware, viewing any content on Twitch if you’re under the age of 13 is against the platform’s terms of service. That means that even joking in the chat about being a 12-year-old will get you banned.

It was as simple as that. No matter how old you are, if you say anything about being under the age of 13, even if it’s a joke, Twitch will kick you off.

Many viewers are aware of this, but Toastie, a partnered streamer, was recently forced to remind her fans that being too young for Twitch is not a joke.

Toastie was then tragically (yet somewhat predictably) interrupted by a viewer who typed in the chat the one thing they had just been asked not to type and stared at the blank page that had once been the banned viewer’s Twitch account, as she said. Right? At the very least, we know what not to say.
