TheDanDangler, a Twitch streamer, added to the ongoing Kick debate when she displayed an adult toy during a recent video on the alternative streaming platform.

Kick is Twitch’s newest competitor, and it’s attracting more and more well-known broadcasters over time. Nevertheless, the site’s community and the stuff that is permitted there are causing a lot of online discussion. A number of instances over the past few weeks have drawn criticism for Kick, most notably when Twitch star HeelMike was banned from the site for acting inappropriately during a show on February 23. Following the display of an adult toy in a recent broadcast, Twitch streamer TheDanDangler is now also receiving criticism.

Industry insider Jake Lucky posted a clip from the video on Twitter, but he blurred TheDanDangler’s lower body as she displayed the adult toy. TheDanDangler was eager to respond to the outrage after the post sparked a lot of discussion online. TheDanDangler confirmed that she did not utilize the toy, as was possibly implied, and asserted that she was not clad during the broadcast, contrary to what the censorship would suggest.

She said; “To set the record straight, I was not nude during this. I have a pink bra on with tape. I’m not sure why Jake blurred it out like this. Makes me feel a little weird. I showed this on an eighteen-plus site. And I didn’t use [the toy]. It was more of a joke. Kind of creepy.”

TheDanDangler’s stream simply adds to the numerous continuing discussions about the new streaming service, which were notably joined by Adin Ross when he claimed that Twitch’s Rules of Service “silencing” him. Adin’s friend and prominent streamer Corinna Kopf joined the network, which is also the home of Trainwrecks, a fervent supporter of the platform as a Twitch rival.

Kick’s ability to effectively compete with Twitch in the long run is still up in the air as other platforms like YouTube also have exclusive arrangements with streamers.
