Tarik has been part of the professional CS:GO scene ever since he joined Could 9 in August 2017. Since then, he has established himself as a formidable competitor, having won many tournaments, including ESL One: New York in 2019, the ZOTAC Cup Masters 2018 and the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018, to name a few. Tarik’s gaming setup is currently sponsored by Razer, and we have provided a brief overview of the peripherals that he has chosen to maximize his potential below.


Razer Viper Ultimate mouse

Tarik uses a Razer Viper Ultimate mouse. Tarik’s gaming setup features the Quartz Pink version of the Razer Viper Ultimate gaming mouse. It has a ambidextrous, wireless lightweight design that comes to just 74g (2.61oz). Its Razer Focus+ 20k DPI Optical sensor offers a range of up to 20,0000 dpi which can be set in increments of 50 through the software. Up to 5 dpi settings can be stored onboard at once. It offers a maximum acceleration of 50G at a maximum tracking speed of 650 IPS. The polling rate is at 1,000Hz at a 1ms report rate.

Otherwise, it is fitted with 8 programable buttons, with two on either side of the mouse. The Razer Synapse software is compatible with Windows 7 or later, but not Mac. The mouse itself does work on Mac, Xbox One and PS4, though. Additionally, it has 100% PTFE feet and overall dimensions of 6.6 x 12.6 x 3.8cm (2.61 x 4.98 x 1.49″.)

Razer Gigantus Team Razer Edition mousepad

Tarik uses a Razer Gigantus Team Razer Edition mousepad. The Razer Gigantus Cloth is an ultra large mousepad that comes to 44.5 x 44.5 x 0.5cm (17.53 x 17.53 x 0.2”). The 5mm rubberized base is green on the Team Razer edition with a soft, black micro-textured surface. It can be easily rolled up for storge or transportation purposes.

Razer BlackWidow Lite TKL (Mercury White) keyboard

Tarik uses a Razer BlackWidow Lite TKL (Mercury White) keyboard. The Razer BlackWidow Lite TKL is a silent mechanical keyboard that is fitted with Razer Orange switches. These operate at an actuation force of 45G and actuation point of 1.9mm. Their total travel distance is 4mm. It also offers 10-key rollover anti-ghosting, as well a polling rate of 1,000Hz.

It is constructed from a metal top plate and the soldered switches are then set with swappable low-profile ABS keycaps. The keys have white LED backlighting, as well as a green LED indicator light for the Caps Lock to show when it’s on. Although there are no macro profile options, some of the F-keys have a double function of multimedia controls. Its over size is 13.3 x 36.1 x 3.6cm (5.24 x 14.22 x 1.42″) and it weighs 657.7kg (1.45lbs.) Tarik uses a Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 headset. The Razer Kraken 7.1 V2 is a wired gaming headset that provides a 7.1 virtual surround sound effect. It as a plug-and-play design, aside from the optional software with which to adjust its lighting options. Its earcups are fitted with 50mm drivers that offer a frequency response range of 12 – 28,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 32Ω and a sensitivity of 123dB.

The frame is constructed from lightweight aluminum that is highly flexible. This helps to ensure that it doesn’t break during transportation. The headband and earcups ae both padded with leatherette-covered memory foam and the oval-shaped ear cushions provide full-ear coverage for extra comfort. Shure SM7B microphone

Tarik uses a Shure SM7B microphone. Tarik’s gaming setup features the ever-popular Shure SM7B dynamic, unidirectional microphone. It is also found in the setups of other top streamers such as LVNDMARK,  AnneMunition and Tru3Ta1ent. It is built from from enamel aluminum with a steel case to protect its cartridge, as well as a presence boost and high-pass filter switch on its base. It has an internal pop-filter to prevent plosive sounds from disrupting the recording.

It offers a offers a frequency response range of 50 – 20,000Hz at an impedance of 150Ω and a sensitivity of -59 dBV/Pa. It has a unidirectional polar pattern with an end-address to block out unwanted back-ground noises, which is also why it requires close-range application for the input to be picked up clearly. It also comes with a removable windscreen and locking yoke mount.
