Shure SM7B microphone

Tru3Ta1ent uses a Shure SM7B microphone. This is a high-end, large diaphragm dynamic microphone that offers a frequency response range of 50 – 20,000Hz at an impedance of 150Ω and a sensitivity of -59 dBV/Pa. It has a unidirectional polar pattern with an end-address to block out unwanted back-ground noises, which is also why it requires close-range application for the input to be picked up clearly.

It is constructed from enamel aluminum with a steel case to protect its cartridge, as well as a high-pass filter switch and presence boost on its base. TC Helicon GoXLR mixer

Tru3Ta1ent uses a TC Helicon GoXLR mixer. The GoXLR/ Shure SM7b is a common combination found among streams and features in those of CallMeCarsonLIVE, Pengu and Aydan, among others. It is therefore unsurprising that it should appear in Tru3Ta1lent’s gaming setup as well.

It is a compact 4-channel mixer that allows for either one XLR or one TS/TRS/TRRS microphone and one headset to be connected at a time. The left side offers four sliders that can be used to control the microphone, music, chatting and system inputs and each slider also has a dedicated mute button as well. The top right half provides vocal effects such as pitch echo and gender-bending, while the lower part has controls for sample recordings. These can be programmed for use during live broadcasts.
