Nmplol is an entertainment streamer who is known for his World of Warcraft and IRL content, sense of humor, Pokémon card unpacking and prank content. He and Sodapoppin have been friends for years and they have been living together since 2018. Although he has been streaming fulltime since 2017, his channel only really saw massive growth in 2020, most like due to the COVID-19 situation. For those of you who are interested in discovering a bit more about the peripherals that he uses to create his content, we have provided a brief over of the known equipment found in Nmplol’s gaming setup below.
WHAT MOUSE DOES NMPLOL USE?
Nmplol uses a Glorious Model O mouse. Nmplol’s gaming setup features a black version of the Glorious Model O wired gaming mouse. It has a honeycomb-dotted plastic shell that is fitted with a PixArt 3360 optical sensor. The sensor provides a range of between 400 – 12,000 DPI, with preset levels of 400, 800, 1,600 and 3,200. A maximum of six DPI profiles can be saved directly on the mouse and can be set in increments of 100 DPI through the software. Furthermore, the polling rates can also be toggled between 125, 250, 500 and 1,000Hz.
Although it has a symmetrical design and 6 programmable buttons including the right and left clickers, two of the buttons are situated on the right thumb side and none on the other side. It can store one macro profile onboard at a time. It weighs only 67g (2.36oz) and comes to 12.8 x 6.6 c 3.75cm (5.04 x 2.6 x 1.48″.)
WHAT HEADSET DOES NMPLOL USE?
Nmplol uses Sennheiser HD 820 headphones. He has really treated himself with these extremely high-end audiophile headphones. They are set with 56mm Ring Radiator drivers that provide a frequency response range of either 12 – 43800Hz @ -3 dB or 6 – 48000 Hz @ -10dB, at a nominal impedance of 300Ω. They are wired and are constructed from an aircraft-grade metal headband with inner dampening element, plastic casing and closed, concave glass earcup backplate. The glass helps to stifle bleeding while still providing a wide sound-stage effect, so that you get the best of both worlds.
They are also fairly lightweight at 360g (12.6oz). The earcups are cushioned with handcrafted, high-quality microfiber fabric padding that surrounds the ear. This provides comfort while still focusing that sound towards the ear. However, all of these features come at a high standard price of $2,400 USD, although it is occasionally of sale for less than that. But, these are intended for listening to music rather than gaming, so you might want to consider going for cheaper options such as the Logitech G Pro X headset used by xChocoBars or the SteelSeries Arctis Pro used by Masayoshi.
WHAT MICROPHONE DOES NMPLOL USE?
Nmplol uses a Shure MV7 Podcast microphone. The Shure MV7 was sponsored to Nmplol’s setup by Shure. This model is specifically designed with livestreaming and content creation in mind, which is why it includes high levels of flexibility of adjustability and flexibility not found in the earlier models. One example is that it can either be used as a plug-and-play USB microphone or connected with an XLR cable. Another is its ShurePlus MOTIV desktop app that can be used to change the EQ, mic gain, sound signatures and other aspects.
It has a sturdy, all-metal construction that weighs 550kg (1.21lbs) and has dimensions of 10.9 x 31.2 x 12.7cm (4.3 x 12.3 x 5″). It is a dynamic microphone with a cardioid polar patter and end-address that offers a frequency response range of 20 – 20,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 314Ω and a sensitivity of -55 dBV/Pa. It has a 24.2MP BSI full frame Exmor R CMOS sensor that offers an ISO range of 100 – 51,200 that is extendable to 50 – 204,800 with a Sony E-mount compatible lens. Its battery can last up to 200 minutes.
It is also enabled with 693 phase eye-detection autofocus, as well as 5-axis image stabilization to ensure that subjects come out clearly during recordings. It also allows for brightness adjustments of between -2 to 2, which can be set on its 3.0″ 922k-dot tiltable LDC touchscreen. It also offers an array of picture effect options and creative styles, as well as a variety of shutter speeds. It weighs 650g (1.43lbs) and measures 12.7 x 9.6 x 7.3cm (5 x 3.76 x 3.88 x 3″.)
