Twitch streamer Jaryd Lazar aka Summit1g, one of twitch’s most seasoned streamers and MMO veterans, has recently shared some of his thoughts and concerns surrounding Amazon Games Studios’ New World, and it seems like he was not quite impressed with what he’s seen of New World’s PvE combat so far as he says that the game’s PvE needs to be adjusted.

The closed beta for Amazon Game Studios’ New World has been generating a lot of attention lately with many streamers voicing out their opinions about the game. However, it seems like not all those came out as a positive review.

During a recent stream, Twitch streamer Summit1g revealed one aspect of the game that he hasn’t been impressed with and that is the combat. He shares his disappointment in the game’s PvE mechanics, stating that he often sees streams where multiple players are able to spam attacks behind a boss with little challenge. Summit1g would like to see more bosses with AOE attacks that punish players for spamming, making things a bit more dynamic.

However, despite these criticisms, Summit1g did provide some suggestions to the developers about how to fix the game’s PvE. In regards to the boss encounters, he proposed that they introduce AOE attacks for the enemies. He reasoned that this would force players to use more careful tactics when pushing the offense, instead of rushing mindlessly at a boss. He also pointed to the Dark Soul series as an example of how to improve New World’s PvE.

Summit1g is not the only streamer that hasn’t been impressed with New World as recently, twitch streamer Asmongold has spent a significant time with the game’s beta, and has called the game broken, ‘laggy’, and not ready. But still, the beta has done very impressive numbers on Steam as just last week, the game broke more than 200,000 concurrent players.
