Valkyrae was one of the most popular YouTube streamers during the Genshin Impact craze. Her live streams had been heavily influenced by the action RPG, since she had spent many hours grinding and opening packs. However, the streamer stopped her Teyvat adventures months ago, which sparked a lot of discussions within her community. Finally, she revealed during a recent livestream the reason why she’ll never play the game again.
The streamer stated why she no longer plays Genshin Impact during a Grand Theft Auto Online livestream on October 13th, 2021. She voiced her feelings that she no longer wants to play Genshin Impact after rejecting a fan plea to return to Teyvat.
After a while, she explained that the game felt like it was running out of ideas to keep things interesting. She also stated that she had no intention of returning to the game.
Here’s what she stated; “The game just got too repetitive, so I ended up just stopping. The Genshin gameplay, it was just hard for me to get excited to play it anymore. It was really fun while I was addicted, and I think it’s a really beautiful game, but yeah, I just stopped, and I probably won’t go back”.
Despite this, the streamer reflected fondly on some of her favorite Genshin Impact memories saying; “I do love the gatcha system. I do love it! Even the gambling.”
She’d previously stated that she “couldn’t get enough” of Genshin Impact. She also mentioned how “addicting” the game is and why it’s one of the best games right now.
Valkyrae has been streaming Grand Theft Auto Online, Mario Kart, and Valorant since leaving Genshin Impact. The streamer had also been working on a number of projects with 100 Thieves, as well as appearing in music videos and a Gucci campaign.
