Amouranth recently wrote a lengthy thread about her terrifying encounters with a stalker on her personal Twitter. Internet celebrities frequently have to deal with creepy users on social media, and this is just one example, her stalker traveled to Houston, Texas, from Estonia, Europe, and essentially sold everything he owned to stay in a hotel next to Amouranth’s post office. He set up camp in a Starbucks next to her PO Box, ostensibly in the hope that Amouranth would stop by. Even more disgusting and obscene, he sent her explicit pictures in her direct messages.

For more than a month, this stalker would also live-stream everything on Twitch. It got to the point where he arrived at Amouranth’s actual home and attempted to enter. Amouranth had security, which allowed her to call the police before anything dangerous occurred.

He was ultimately arrested and is no longer in the area, but this entire incident is just one illustration of how strange internet users obsess over well-known female streamers.

YouTube streamer Ludwig sums up the situation in a video on his alternative channel, Mogul Mail, and provides additional examples of how harassing and stalking behavior toward female streamers has occurred.

Sweet Anita who has previously dealt with a number of stalkers. Take a look at the tweet that follows to see an irrational fan who is in love with the streamer.

Although it was never his intention, he says things like he doesn’t like feeling like a stalker. Though he never intended it, he has found himself in love. He could have sworn last week that she would want to be in a romantic relationship with him, so it seems absurd when he says that they need to review the previous six months and consider how they could have done better.

Twitch streamer Nico was the subject of a five-year-long blog written by a crazy, delusional stalker who fell in love with him. Assuming that everything this Nico would do is related to him, there are 246 pages of this man. According to Nico, the person frequently watched his streams and made everything he said about him by taking it out of context.

Amouranth and similar streamers actually create content that is primarily geared toward male viewers. Their content is quite sexual in nature; she would perform ASMR while licking the mic, stream in a bikini while in a hot tub, and expose her cleavage live. Some people contend that because of their sexual and lewd content, these women experience disrespect and stalking (which is illogical). However, it’s a fact that even non-lewdy female streamers frequently become objectified. This tweet from LuluLuvely demonstrates my point even more.

We’re starting to get really gross at this point. The r/C*mTributes subreddit is one such place. People who put images of female streamers like Lulu on their phones are essentially weird Reddit users.

Then they ejaculate on their phone screen and literally masturbate to them before posting it on Reddit. Be aware that the women in these images are completely covered, are literally sitting on chairs, and are not at all attempting to be sexual.

It’s incredible how almost every well-known female streamer has come into contact with a stalker or a parasocial person at some point. If you didn’t know, a parasocial relationship is a one-sided relationship in which one person extends their emotional resources, time, and interest while the other party, the persona, is completely unaware of the other’s existence.

To prevent harassment in the future, awareness should be increased. Something needs to be done to punish these types of people even though it seems sadly inevitable.
