Her feelings were expressed. The Twitch sensation spent the first hour of her recent broadcast on May 18 talking about a variety of controversial topics, including the prevalence of gambling-related content on the livestreaming platform.
During the same stream, the Legacy Award winner discussed how addiction is a mental illness and emphasized the importance of people becoming educated on the subject.
Pokimane came across a clip of Ludwig saying that he didn’t have a price to sell out for gambling-related content as the conversation shifted from one topic to the next.
The co-founder of OfflineTV (OTV) agreed with the YouTuber’s remarks, mentioning that some of her friends had discussed the same topic and that everyone has a number to sell out.
Pokimane claimed that no matter how big the number was, she would not accept a gambling deal, no matter how big it was. She continued the conversation by stating that she would profit hypothetically $5 million as a result of her fans losing money. In the Twitch chat, some viewers disagreed with the streamer’s statement.
The Moroccan-Canadian livestream was then extended for another four hours. Several fan reactions flooded the YouTube comment section, applauding the streamer’s efforts to raise awareness about gambling addiction.
After Mizkif stated in his own words that “everyone has a price at the end of the day,” the topic of streamers and influencers selling out to accept gambling deals went viral in the livestreaming community.
He also stated that it is human nature to accept large sums of money and that if he were offered $20 million, he would take it and promote gambling websites on his stream.
