In order to launch Gamer’s Paradise, a 15-episode variety talk show series featuring esports athletes, gaming and influencer talent, and industry experts, ONE Esports partnered with Marriott International’s travel program Marriott Bonvoy.

In order to give viewers the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in travel destinations through the lens of gaming culture, each episode will focus on a specific theme, ranging from deep dives into well-known gaming franchises to explorations of broad industry trends.

The show will provide content that “celebrates the diversity of gaming and esports culture” across Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, according to a joint statement from ONE Esports and Marriott.

Among the guests on the show are League of Legends player Teddy from the Korean esports team Kwangdong Freecs, Dota 2 host and personality Sheever, Street Fighter player Kawano from Japan, Edward and OHEB from the Filipino esports team Blacklist International, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang players OHEB and from Singapore, popular cosplayer and streamer Kiyo, as well as gaming personalities Clara Mongstar from Indonesia and Megan Young from the Philippines.

On July 4, 2022, Gamer’s Paradise will make its digital channel debut on ONE Esports’ platforms including Facebook, Twitch, YouTube, and AfreecaTV. Every Monday, an English-language version of the program with subtitles in Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Melayu, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese will be streamed.

The objectives of Gamer’s Paradise, according to Carlos Alimurung, CEO of ONE Esports, are to celebrate esports, giving its audience an in-depth understanding of the ecosystem and community, and share the tales of gaming and esports heroes who give the world courage, hope, dreams, and inspiration. As part of its ongoing efforts to scale the esports ecosystem globally, ONE Esports previously collaborated with the insurance company FWD, the travel program Marriott Bonvoy, and the fast food giant McDonald’s Philippines in October last year.

The CEO of ONE Esports, Carlos Alimurung, previously told Marketing-Interactive that the company thrives when working with partners who are eager to contribute to the accomplishment of its mission—to share and celebrate the tales of esports heroes who inspire people around the world with hope, strength, dreams, and inspiration.

Separately, ONE Esports and HSBC partnered in February of this year to address financial fitness by developing content specifically designed to assist players with in-game resource management in multiplayer online battle arena games. Both parties will collaborate on 10 local tournaments and one significant event this year as part of the partnership, which began as a pilot in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Through this collaboration, professional guidance will also be created to be applicable to real-world situations. The Southeast Asian esports community’s preferences and behaviors with regard to financial services will also be studied and reported on by ONE’s analytics and insights team at the same time.
