Twitch streamer MsDirtyBird recently apologized after falsely claiming she had cancer to her viewers.

Kaw is a Rocket League streamer who’s known by her online alias as MsDirtyBird. For the second time, the content creator has issued a formal apology. Followers have been keeping track of her progress over the last few months.

On a livestream with her sister, she first acknowledged the claims.

After learning of MsDirtyBird’s claims, Kaw’s sister took to Twitch earlier this year. “Today, I wanted to address my sister’s stream… I don’t believe she has cancer – she hasn’t said anything to any of us.” Kaw expressed her displeasure with the remarks, saying, “It hurts me that she has said this.” She also says in the stream that “everyone in her chat still thinks she has cancer.”

Kaw’s alleged diagnosis was first mentioned in January, when she claimed to have brain cancer. More information has since become available, prompting the streamer to address the allegations directly.

Her speech was debunked as an online template in her initial apology. Following the backlash, MsDirtyBird has since released an unedited, uncut apology video, stating, “This is my official apology video, no cuts, no scripts, nothing.”

Kaw admitted, “What I did was undeniably f**ked up and should have never happened.” The streamer has announced that she will be taking a break from streaming for “six months to a year.”

Following her second apology, there have been calls for Kaw to donate her Twitch earnings to cancer research. The now-former streamer has made no other comments since releasing her video apology.
