Mrtweeday is a German Counter-Strike streamer who has been part of the streaming community ever since the mTw days. He soon got noticed and was recruited as a film producer from Ninjas in Pajamas in 2014. This gave him the boost he needed to be able to go into full-time content creation in 2015.

Although most of the peripherals in Mrtweeday’s gaming setup were sponsored, it was he who approached the companies and asked them for the equipment that he felt would best enhance his gameplay. Therefore, we have supplied a brief overview of his chosen specs below.

WHAT MONITOR DOES MRTWEEDAY USE?

BenQ Zowie XL2546 monitor

Mrtweeday uses a BenQ ZOWIE XL2546 monitor. The XL2546 is a 24.5″ high-end gaming monitor that offers refresh rate options of 60,120,144 and 240Hz at a gray-to-gray response time of 1ms. Its LCD display has a pixel pith of 0.28 x 0.28mm, with a 1000:1 contrast ratio, and aspect ratio of 16:9 and a brightness of 320 cd/㎡.

It also integrates various technologies such as its Proprietary Dynamic Accuracy Technology (DyAc) to prevent blurriness. In order to further assist with concentration, it also comes with two removable side shields that can help to block out peripheral distractions from the user’s view. Furthermore, its stand offers excellent adjustability options such as tilting -5°~ 20°, swiveling -45°~45° and pivoting -90°/90°. The height can also be increased up to 14cm (5.15″), and the monitor can also be completely removed so as to make use of its VESA 100 x 100mmm compatibility.

WHAT MOUSE DOES MRTWEEDAY USE?

Xtrfy M3 Heaton mouse

Mrtweeday uses an Xtrfy M3 Heaton mouse. The Xtrfy M3 Heaton edition is a wired gaming mouse that was designed in conjunction with Emil “HeatoN” Christensen, who is a retired professional CS:GO player. It is fitted with a PixArt PMW 3310 optical sensor that offers adjustable DPI levels of 400, 800, 1,600, 3,200 and 4,000. The maximum tracking speed is at 130 IPS and a maximum acceleration of 30G. You can also toggle between polling rate options of 125, 500 and 1,000Hz. It has a unique ergonomic design that is suitable for right-handed users. The shape is also meant to accommodate all grip styles and its dimensions are 13 x 5.5 x 3.9cm (5.12 x 2.17 x 1.54″) with a weight of 104g (3.67oz.)

WHAT MOUSEPAD DOES MRTWEEDAY USE?

Xtrfy GP1 XL mousepad

Mrtweeday uses an Xtrfy GP1 XL mousepad. The Xtrfy XG-GP1-XL is one of two mousepads that feature in Mrtweeday’s gaming setup; the other being a Mrtweeday Edition of the regular sized GP1 that is only available on the Xtrfy site. This version is much wider for overall dimensions of 92 x 36 x 0.3cm (36.22 x 14.17 x 0.12”). It comprises of a high-speed cloth surface that is glued and stitched to a rubberized, non-slip base. It is also machine washable at 30°C.

WHAT KEYBOARD DOES MRTWEEDAY USE?

Xtrfy K2 RGB keyboard

Mrtweeday uses an Xtrfy K2 RGB keyboard. The Xtrfy K2 RGB is a plug-and-play, full-size gaming keyboard that is set with Kailh Red RGB switches. These provide a linear feedback and operate at an actuation force of 50G and an actuation point of 2mm. Its polling rate is 1,000Hz at a 1ms report rate.

It doesn’t require any software, as all of its RGB lighting features and macro settings and be programmed and toggled directly through the keyboard itself. It can store up to 3 macro profiles, as well as 10-level macro speed control. There is also full N-key rollover.

Furthermore, it has a sturdy plastic design topped with removable double-shot ABS keycaps that both have a matter finish. The keyboard is also slightly angled, but this angle can be increased with its flip-up feet. There are also cable routing options on its underside, as well as flip-up feet. Mrtweeday uses an Xtrfy H2 Pro headset. The Xtrfy H2 Pro is a gaming headset that is constructed from an aluminum frame, with a leatherette-padded headband and two sets of interchangeable over-ear earpads. One set comprises of thick, leatherette-covered memory foam, while the other is made from a mesh fabric. The earcups are closed backed and fitted with 53mm closed-backed dynamic drivers that provide a frequency response range of 15 – 25,000Hz at an impedance of 32Ω.

Furthermore, it is multiplatform compatible and comes with two adapters for this purpose. Some of these include Xbox One, PS4, PC and mobile devices, among others. It also features a detachable, unidirectional microphone that offers a frequency response range of 45 – 18,000Hz, which is nearly double the usual gaming headset’s range of 100 – 10,000Hz. Together with both the cable and microphone, its weight comes to 360g (12.7oz) and its dimensions are 11 x 20.5 x 24cm (4.33 x 8.1 x 9.5”).

WHAT MICROPHONE DOES MRTWEEDAY USE?

Mrtweeday uses a Shure SM7B microphone. Mrtweeday’s gaming setup includes the incredibly popular Shure SM7B dynamic microphone. It utilizes a cardioid polar pattern that operates at an end-address to help with noise-cancelling of unwanted background sounds. It is for this reason that it also includes an internal pop-filter and shock-mount, as well as a removable external windshield. It also has a presence boost to toggle between a regular and flat-response curve, as well as a high-pass filter switch. These are concealed by its removable base cover.

Its dynamic circuitry allows for a frequency response range of 50 – 20,000Hz at a nominal impedance of 150Ω. Furthermore, its SNR is at 33 dB : 1kHz @ 1Pa while it has a sensitivity of -59 dBV/Pa. WHAT WEBCAM DOES MRTWEEDAY USE?

Logitech C920 webcam

Mrtweeday uses a Logitech C920 webcam. The Logitech C920 is a basic plug-and-play webcam that was originally intended for conference calls and recordings but has since become a staple in many streaming setups, with other including TSM_Daequan. Aceu and xChocobars, to name a few. It has recording options of either 1080p@30fps (1920 x 1080) or 720p @ 30fps (1280 x 720).

It captures light well and has an excellent autofocus feature, as well as dual microphones. However, the mics work best at close-range, so you may need a separate mic, if you want a crisper audio quality. It is compatible with Windows 7 or later, or MacOS 10.10 or later.

WHAT MIXER DOES MRTWEEDAY USE?

RCF LIVEPAD L-PAD 8CX mixer

 

Mrtweeday uses an RCF LIVEPAD L-PAD 8CX mixer and a dbx 286s preamp. The L-PAD 8CX mixer is an 8-channel mixer that offers four mic inputs and 3 stereo inputs as well as 1 FX send. Each of the mic channels comes with a dedicated set of controls for low, mid and high equalization. The stereo line inputs each have two bands of EQ. There is also a 2-track in and out section with RCA connectors. Additionally, it also boasts aux send circuitry and is capable of providing phantom power.

The dbx 286s preamp offers inputs for two ¼” TRS connectors, one XLR input and one ¼“ TRS output. It too is a capable of providing +48V of phantom power and also includes an 80Hz high pass filter. This additional feature helps to remove interference from hum, rumble or wind sources. This can also be applied to instruments to further enhance the audio produced.
