While opening gifts brought to his P.O. Box, popular Twitch streamer Matthew Rinaudo aka Mizkif received a pleasant surprise from a fan who sent a replica of late broadcaster ‘Reckful’s’ iconic stream duck.
On October 10, after returning after a 20-plus-day hiatus from broadcasting, Twitch streamer Mizkif together with fellow twitch streamer Alinity, chose to open some gifts that were sent from his dedicated fans.
Alinity opened a box and urged him to close his eyes and hold his hands out after opening a few items and getting into some shenanigans with other individuals in Mizkif’s house. She placed the gift in his hands and instructed him to open his eyes, and the effect gave everyone in the stream the warm fuzzies. Mizkif opened his eyes with an intense and reverent “Aww,” quickly toning down his loud streaming voice.
Alinity, on the other hand, appeared confused. “Oh, Maya likes birds!” she said, seemingly referring to Mizkif’s ex-girlfriend Maya Higa, who works with animals and frequently incorporates them into her content.
Quickly switching back to his usual joking self, Mizkif replied stating; “No, you dumb b***h, this is Reckful’s duck.”
Byron ‘Reckful’ Bernstein was a World of Warcraft content creator and professional player. He had four top-three MLG WoW positions and was once ranked fourth among the top ten wealthiest streamers, with a net worth of over 1.5 million dollars and an average of over 50k viewers every stream. Bernstein was noted for including a giant plush duck in the background of his streams before his death on July 2, 2020. It inspired a slew of memes and, as Mizkif’s reaction shows, is a terrific way to memorialize the late creator.
The creator has previously praised Reckful, claiming that his 50k viewer Pokemon Go live was “one of the best streams ever.”
Despite the fact that Reckful passed away, his legacy lives on in the hearts of his fans and fellow broadcasters, as proven by this touching moment on Mizkif’s stream.
