Hasan Piker of Twitch is subject to TikTok’s community rules: The emergence of numerous streaming platforms over the past few years has given the streaming industry an unmatched boost.
A few gamers have made streaming their full-time job and amassed millions of fans in the process, but more often than not, these streamers have run afoul of the platforms’ rigid community standards. While these guidelines occasionally aid in the screening of sensitive content, other times they are known to be a hindrance and restrict the profiles without any valid justification. Recently, Hasan Piker encountered this TikTok problem.
Many sensitive objects can now be restricted thanks to the streaming platforms’ stringent guidelines. For repeatedly breaking the community rules, a number of streamers have been banned. Only by imposing strict rules will the platforms become more user-friendly. These community rules can, however, occasionally be difficult to comprehend, as was the case with Hasan Piker.
The recent scandal involving TikTok and Twitch streamer Hasan Piker began a week ago. The streamer was reportedly informed by TikTok of the availability of comment safety tools that will help him filter out unwanted comments.
He received word shortly after that that the August 2nd video had been muted due to it breaking the TikTok community rules. In order to improve the platform, it also urged him to abide by the rules. Hasan Piker chose to request a review despite the fact that the material was not harmful to the viewers.
After reviewing the disputed post, TikTok determined that it had been flagged unfairly. As a result, TikTok expressed its regret for any inconvenience it may have brought about.
Up until this point, everything appeared to be in order with the content back up and unrestricted. Hasan Piker recently got another notification from TikTok. This notification specifically informed him that he had been banned from the platform as a result of repeatedly breaking the Community Guidelines. Prior to the August 20 deadline for the restriction to end, Hasan Piker won’t be able to post.
He is now unsure of TikTok’s policies as a result, and he posted an upsetting public message on the social media platform. It remains to be seen if TikTok will investigate the situation and reverse the decision.
