Popular Twitch streamer Dimitri “GreekGodx” Antonatos is banned for an unspecified reason before having his privileges quickly restored.
Popular Twitch streamers occasionally have their bans lifted as a result of breaking the platform’s terms of service, and Twitch does so after an appeals process. GreekGodx was recently banned but was later unbanned rather than having to adhere to the terms of the ban.
Since Twitch’s inception, GreekGodx has maintained a sizable fanbase and has amassed over a million followers, despite taking a significant break to lose weight before making a comeback in 2020. GreekGodx engaged in enough dubious behavior during a livestream on June 28 to warrant a Twitch ban, as have other streamers in the past. Since then, there has been debate over what specifically led to GreekGodx’s ban, but since he has been unbanned, Twitch has obviously reevaluated the circumstances that would have resulted in GreekGodx’s seven-day suspension.
GreekGodx was suspended from Twitch for a total of three days, four minutes, and sixteen seconds as of the suspension’s lifting, according to StreamerBans’ Twitter account. GreekGodx asserts that his Twitch ban was the result of some problematic twerking on stream, which Twitch strictly prohibits. However, community members have assessed his comments made during the stream and concluded that they were sexist remarks directed at other streamers. The well-known Twitch streamer has already returned to the website and has been chatting with his audience ever since, as he frequently does when livestreaming.
Several Twitch streamers, including Mizkif, Asmongold, and xQc, have responded to the aforementioned GreekGodx outburst since his Twitch ban. Should the rant have been the reason for GreekGodx’s ban from Twitch, many viewers are already speculating that the livestreamer will see another ban in the future, given the regularity of his rants. Mizkif claimed that the formerly banned streamer is envious of his success on the platform in becoming the new “unfunny fat guy.”
Despite the fact that many GreekGodx supporters are jubilant about his return after the brief Twitch ban, a few comments claimed that the streamer had fallen off.
Following the lifting of his ban, one Twitch viewer referred to GreekGodx as the platform’s goat, and others argued whether or not Twitch had won or lost by having him back. GreekGodx viewers have hypothesized that his prompt return is due to the length of time he has been a Twitch livestreamer and the relatively few bans he has received over the years, but it’s also possible that the well-known livestreamer appealed the ban and the appeals process determined that his Twitch ban was unnecessary.
