Legendary Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect recently claimed to be a big reason why so many Twitch streamers have switched to YouTube.

Following his mysterious Twitch ban in the summer of 2020, he shocked the world by switching to YouTube. Despite not being able to stream with many of his friends, such as TimTheTatman, due to Twitch’s rules, he’s become one of the biggest names on Google’s rival platform in the time since, and his relationship with the Esports Awards has suffered as a result.

Dr Disrespect stated that with the likes of TimTheTatman, Dr Lupo, and, most recently, Ludwig, streaming on YouTube, he is why so many people have switched platforms.

He who was once again dressed as Fire Mario for some reason, had some viewers extend their subscriptions for a few months during a December 6 broadcast, eliciting a strong reaction from the 6’8 gaming behemoth.

Dr Disrespect joked that the support he gets goes a long way and that it doesn’t just fly by the black steel, aka the bullet-proof mullet, into some unknown dimension, and that all of his supporters have been insane since he got on YouTube.

To top it off, the two-time NBA champion couldn’t resist a little humble bravado about the state of the streaming wars and how YouTube has emerged as a formidable competitor in recent months.

Also, he stated that everyone is moving to YouTube as a result of him, and he meant it. Fwiz can claim that he and his team are doing certain things, but it’s not because of him, and he’s referring to YouTube’s head of gaming saying that he is a humble person.

As the streamer wars continue, and Doc is even suing Twitch for his ban, it will be fascinating to see how the rivalry plays out in 2022 and beyond, especially with the two-time claiming to play such a significant role.
