Twitch streamer and star of American reality television DanGheesling recently attempted to kill Malenia, Blade of Miquella in Elden Ring during a recent livestream for more than five hours.
After losing to the same boss 2,000 times in a row, Dan found the most original way to vent his anger: by ironically reading out comments left by viewers in his Twitch chat and started streaming his Elden Ring progression at the beginning of the month but was halted after running into Malenia during a recent livestream.
Given the characteristics of his build, Dan found it difficult to defeat Malenia, widely regarded as the toughest boss in the most recent FromSoftware game, and spent the entire time trying to defeat Malenia, and more than two hours later, the same boss had claimed 2,000 deaths from the Twitch streamer.
Playing a series of previously recorded clips that mimicked fan criticism of his gameplay, the 38-year-old content creator showcased his production prowess, and his face cam started to show up multiple times in the corners of the screen, and he read out ironic comments from the pre-recorded clips.
To draw attention to how many times he had died in the game, he subtly enhanced the “2,000” text that was displayed on the screen. Dan’s commentary was featured in a new pre-recorded clip that started playing on the left side of the screen.
The sequence continued for a few more minutes, and when the streamer mocked the final annoying criticism leveled at him, the sarcastic commentary came to an end. After dying to Malenia 2,091 times, the Twitch content creator stopped streaming after a few more hours.
With more than 220 fan reactions, the content creator’s clip is the most popular post on the r/LivestreamFail subreddit today. Finding out that the Big Brother 14 runner-up was a serious gamer amused a number of Redditors.
Dan Gheesling started streaming on Twitch in 2016 and has played a wide range of games, including The Binding of Isaac: Repentance, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Spelunky 2, and Escape of Tarkov. He currently has over 111k followers and an average of 1.5k viewers watch each of his streams.
