It has an ambidextrous design that is suitable for all grip-types, although its dimensions of 12 x 6.3 x 3.6cm (4.72 x 2.48 x 1.42″) make it more suitable for users with small to medium-sized hands.

It is set with a PixArt 3360 optical sensor that provides a dpi range of 400 – 12,000. It comes with four preset options of 400, 800, 1,600, and 3,200 dpi, but this can be adjusted in increments of 100 through its software with the possibility of storing up to 6 dpi profiles total on board. Blaustoise’s gaming setup includes a CENNBIE GK87PRO keyboard. The GK87PRO is a wired tenkeyless keyboard that is constructed from aluminum top-housing with a matte finish and PBT double-shot keycaps. It comes with options of either Cherry MX Red or Cherry MX Brown mechanical switches, and Blaustoise has opted for the Brown option. This version requires an actuation force of 55G and has an actuation point of 2mm and a total travel distance of 4mm.

Its F-keys can be used to program macros or as multimedia controls and it also features 360° RGB lighting paired with ice blue backlighting. There are ten lighting modes that can be toggled between with the F key. It also allows for 100% anti-ghosting and N-key rollover.

Blaustoise uses HyperX Cloud MIX headphones. The Hyper X Cloud MIX is a gaming headset that is designed to be compatible across a range of platforms. Its earphones are set with 40mm dual chamber neodymium drivers that provide an impressive frequency response range of between 10 – 40,000Hz. They have a nominal impedance of 40Ω and an SPL of 100dBSPL/mW at 1kHz. It can be sued as either a Bluetooth or wired device and comes with a detachable, noise-cancelling condenser microphone.

This microphone is both Discord and TeamSpeak certified and offers a frequency response range of 50 – 18,000Hz. Blaustoise’s streaming setup includes a Shure SM7B microphone. Blaustoise’s gaming setup features the ever-popular Shure SM7B, which can also be found in the setups of LVNDMARK, Fresh and AnneMunition. It is a dynamic microphone that has a unidirectional polar pattern with a front-address. It offers a frequency response range of 50 – 20,000Hz and operates at a nominal impedance of 150Ω. It is constructed from enamel aluminum and steel case to make it sturdy and as a presence boost & high-press filter switch. These can be covered up with its switch cover plate. It does not runs on phantom power, but you will still require a compatible audio interface to accomadate its XLR input cable. It comes with a foam windscreen and locking yoke mount.

Blaustoise uses a Sony a6000 mirrorless camera with a sigma 30mm lens. The Sony a6000 is digital camera that has a 24.3MP APS-C-sized Exmor APS HD CMOS sensor. This sensor provides an ISO range of 100-25,600. It can catch 4K still images and movies at 1080p at up to 11fps. It can also capture full resolution 24.2MP images.

It features a built-in electronic viewfinder as well as hybrid autofocus with 179-point focal plane phase-detection. This enables it to focus on people’s eyes automatically and to adjust its recording at a rapid pace. It can also record at up to 1/25s in slow motion. The LCD screen is tiltable to help with perspective when there is bad lighting. It has dimensions of 12 x 4.5 x 6.1cm (4.72 x 1.77 x 2.64″) and weighs 344.73 (0.76lbs.)

However, this camera is semi-professional and is probably beyond what you need if you are just starting out as a streamer. Blaustoise’s former camera was a Logitech C920 webcam. It is a basic plug-and-play camera that is still used by TSM_Daequan and Symfuhny.

WHAT MIXER DOES BLAUSTOISE USE?

Blaustoise uses a TC Helicon GoXLR Mini mixer. This is the minimized version of the full-sized TC-Helicon GoXLR. It can provide phantom power of 48V+ and can process one headphone and one microphone device at a time. The microphone can be connected with either an XLR input or a TS/TRSTRRS jack. In addition to having a dedicated slider and mute button for the Microphone, it also offers the same for Chat, Music and System channels. There is also a bleep button to filter out curse words and a temporary mute button to block out sneezes or coughs.
