Amouranth easily prevailed in the competition to be the top female streamer in the second quarter of 2022. The first-quarter leader Ironmouse dropped to seventh place, but there’s a reason for that.

In February 2022, the well-liked VTuber surpassed all other female streamers in subscriber count. At the time, she had over 95,000 active subscribers, but she’s been doing a lot less streaming.

With 3.34 million hours watched, Ironmouse streamed for 57 percent less time than the previous quarter, a far cry from Amouranth’s staggering 8.38 million. Amouranth deserves praise for the accomplishment, too, of course. She spent $400,000 to raise the caliber of her content, and between April and June, she streamed for almost 1000 hours. Amouranth had one of his best months in May.

In just 261 hours of airtime, she attracted 2.15 million hours of viewing, beating out Pokimane‘s surge to take the top spot on Twitch that month. With 4.5 million hours watched over time, Pokimane eventually overtook Amouranth as the second most watched female streamer on the list, putting her dominance in perspective.

Amouranth attributes a significant portion of her ongoing success to her detractors. On May 26, she claimed that it had motivated her to work harder, and after reading comments warning her that everything would one day collapse, she began investing.

Since she wants to move away from “e-girl” content, investing has grown to be a significant part of her life and could soon be the focus of her Twitch streams. She’s considering participating in more competitions like Streamer Royale.

Since it differs from the material that current Amouranth fans are used to seeing, viewership may suffer. She will still switch, though, because she is so passionate about it.
